We are dedicated to helping ferrets, small pets and the people who love them. Dookie Housers™ Burrows provide the privacy and den-like feeling your ferret(s) or small pet(s) want and need. .

Dookie Houser™ burrows are beautiful, unique, hand-made, wood burrows ferrets and small pets. Dookie Houser™ burrows make an excellent cage accessory and a beautiful addition to any room.

The burrows are made from wood using non-toxic materials and then sealed with a non-toxic soy-based sealer making the burrow completely washable, very durable with a flip top lid for easy access.

We love all animals, but we have a special place in our hearts for ferrets. Over the years we have had 4 ferrets: "e;Taz"e; followed by the "Hole in the Wall Gang" consisting of "Jesse James", "Butch Cassidy" and "Sundance". The Gang's desire for a burrow was clear to us as their nesting instincts had taken quite a toll on the carpet and furniture around the house looking for dens and dark burrows to nest in. After weeks of fruitless searching for a den-like burrow for them, it was clear we weren't going to find a nesting burrow. In the end, we decided to just roll up our shirt sleeves and build them a burrow from the ground up. When we were finished and placed it in their cage, they loved it!! That first humble, rough-hewn burrow inspired us to build the burrows you find on our site today.
